From the east rim

Sunrise from the east end of the Grand Canyon.   Notice I'm camped 4 feet away from the rim. On federal land took me a hour off route to find. Secretly givin spot by park ranger. And wow what a spot didn't get much sleep but wanted to test my nerve.   

So that night I'm lying there thinking all the things you think while in a dangerous spot .....will boulders fall on me or tree fall...

For here it's like ....wonder if I sleep walk ever......be bad time to find out...

 

But things worked just great...did get some sleep.. But the hike back to the road (89) 5 miles was tough .
