Lago Atitlan

Guatemala is a great place. Markets, hotels. And a lot more people smiling. Which helps my comfort. In the center of the country this lake seems to be the largest . With a huge volcano Inactive . The hill and roads make it a huge challenge to get here. Especially by bicycle. Still get some stink eye. But nothing compare to Mexico. Mostly maya . People. Being the only gringo. It's hard being the star. The town I'm in is called San Lucus Toliman. Bring lots of cash.Q's because there only one ATM in town ..and yes it's been out of cash all day....stay at the San Pedro Hotel. it's a old fortress right on the water for 70Q's it's a deal .
